The Africa BEB team is working hard to collaborate with our government partners to provide the support they need to manage Children First Software (CFS) in the children’s homes. Read the August highlights from Africa:
Congo Brazzaville and Nigerian governments partner with BEB to launch CFS in their childcare institutions. This step took many hours of collaboration, planning, and training. When a country signs an MOU to implement CFS, it can take months for children’s homes to be registered in the system. Part of this process is training children’s home workers to use the software. For Congo Brazzaville and Nigeria, many children will soon be registered in CFS because this process is complete for many children’s homes in their countries.
In Ethiopia, the BEB team conducted CFS training for the BOWCSA children’s home workers, consisting of social workers, health professionals, and IT professionals. BOWCSA is now moving towards implementing CFS in all four of their children’s homes across Ethiopia starting with the first home, Kebebtsehay. This progress in Ethiopia results in many children moving towards a permanent family.
BEB is excited to continue to grow the partnership with each of these countries for the betterment of their vulnerable children.
