BEB had the joy of partnering with the Adoptive Parents Initiative (API) at Sanyu Babies Home in Uganda to celebrate World Adoption Day on November 9th. This special day honors the uniqueness of every adoption journey while shining a light on the importance of family and the role adoption plays in giving children hope and belonging.
The celebration was filled with laughter and hope as children marked the day by drawing smiley faces on their hands—a simple, touching tradition that has become the uplifting symbol of World Adoption Day around the globe. These little faces captured the happiness, security, and hope that adoption brings to a child’s life, filling Sanyu Babies Home with warmth and excitement.
As part of the festivities, we encouraged prospective foster and adoptive parents in Uganda to consider opening their homes and hearts, one child at a time. Every adoption story is uniquely powerful, and together we can make sure more children grow up in safe, loving families—a vision we’re proud to share with our friends at API and the community in Uganda.
