That’s a wrap for 2024! Read below some of the amazing highlights from BEB as we reflect on this past year:
January: Motorcyclists in Sierra Leone traveled hard roads to identify locations of children’s homes and start registering children in CFS.
April: A Nigerian boy, Benjamin Joseph, tragically lost both parents when he was an infant. He was left at an orphanage without any documentation. With the help of CFS, Benjamin was reunited with his uncle and is thriving in family care.
August: After over 3 years of Guatemala not allowing in-person visits due to COVID-19, Guatemalan child welfare workers and the BEB team finally visited children’s homes to scan paper records and more fully complete child profiles
November: Uganda hosted 1st BEB African Summit with 9 African country partners. Western African countries decided to launch efforts to use CFS to combat child trafficking.
In 2024 the BEB team witnessed:
2,174 children were placed in a loving family.
13,470 digital identities were created.
As there were many great accomplishments in 2024, BEB is excited for what 2025 will bring as we form more partnerships, implement CFS in more children’s homes, and ultimately put more children on the path towards loving family care.
