The African Regional Director, along with the Country Managers for Sierra Leone and Nigeria and the entire Nigerian team, gathered in Jos, Nigeria for the inaugural West African Alternative Care Summit (WAACS). The event proved to be a vibrant gathering, marked by meaningful interactions and inspiring connections.
BEB was honored to serve as a sponsor for this impactful summit. The Regional Director delivered a compelling session on the critical importance of technology and data in strengthening alternative care systems. With panel discussions, breakout sessions, and representation from nine countries and numerous global organizations, the summit provided a valuable opportunity for collaboration, learning, and advocacy.
BEB contributed to conversations that prioritized the best interests of children and encouraged policy reforms to help move children into safe and loving families, and looks forward to continuing this important journey alongside its partners.
