Our team in Uganda had the privilege of hosting a Zambia delegation to demonstrate how Children First Software (CFS) works in their country. The two countries could discuss and collaborate on the best practices of CFS. They had the opportunity to visit a few children’s homes including SOZO-Wakiso, Agape-Mukono, and Mama Tereza. These children’s homes have fully implemented CFS and represent a great model for BEB.

Currently, BEB is working directly with Zambia Without Orphans (ZWO) to implement CFS in the children’s homes they are connected with. The Uganda BEB team had the opportunity to share with members from ZWO all efforts put in place regarding registration, data protection certifications, and the Financial Intelligence Certificate.

The delegation was a launching pad for the pilot phase of CFS in Zambia. Our Zambia team will proceed with conducting meetings with Zambia delegates, ZWO, and other members of the Ministry to emphasize the importance and need of CFS.

For BEB, this is what partnership is all about – learning from one another to advance CFS to ultimately help vulnerable children find permanent families.
